Tapered Floating Hose

A tapered or half-floating dredging hose used for transition sections where buoyancy distribution needs to change along the hose body.

Product Overview

A tapered or half-floating dredging hose used for transition sections where buoyancy distribution needs to change along the hose body.

Product Detail

The hose has a gradually changing flotation design, enabling it to connect floating pipelines with underwater pipelines, stern lines or bow blowing hose sets. It is used where a pipeline needs to bend and transition smoothly between different buoyancy conditions.

Features

  • Variable buoyancy distribution along the hose body
  • Useful for floating-to-submerged and stern transition sections
  • High wear-resistant lining with optional wear indicator layer
  • Good flexibility and large bending angle
  • Suitable for bow blowing hose set configurations

Technical Parameters

Design Note

Customized specifications are available according to project requirements. Final design should be confirmed based on slurry density, pipeline layout, dredger type, pressure, bending radius and installation conditions.

Applications

Applied between floating and submerged pipelines, at cutter suction dredger stern connections, and as Hose B in bow blowing hose sets.

Information Needed for Quotation

  • Nominal bore size, overall length and flange standard
  • Working pressure, test pressure and suction/vacuum requirement if applicable
  • Conveyed material: mud, sand, clay, silt, gravel, coral, ore or other slurry
  • Slurry density, solid content, particle size and abrasion condition
  • Pipeline arrangement: floating, submerged, shore, deck, pump inlet/outlet or bow blowing
