Floating Steel Pipe

A floating steel pipe for dredging discharge pipelines, combining a steel conveying pipe with an external flotation jacket.

Product Overview

A floating steel pipe for dredging discharge pipelines, combining a steel conveying pipe with an external flotation jacket.

Product Detail

The product consists of a steel pipe, flotation jacket, protective outer cover and flanges at both ends. It provides high conveying capacity and straightness, and is normally connected alternately with rubber hoses to allow the pipeline to bend and follow waves.

Features

  • Rigid steel pipe structure with stable conveying section
  • External flotation jacket for water-surface operation
  • Good wear resistance and low flow resistance
  • High stiffness and tensile strength
  • Suitable for long floating discharge pipelines when combined with rubber hoses

Design Note

Customized specifications are available according to project requirements. Final design should be confirmed based on slurry density, pipeline layout, dredger type, pressure, bending radius and installation conditions.

Applications

Used in floating discharge pipelines for large-volume slurry transfer, usually alternately connected with rubber discharge hoses or floating hoses.

Information Needed for Quotation

  • Nominal bore size, overall length and flange standard
  • Working pressure, test pressure and suction/vacuum requirement if applicable
  • Conveyed material: mud, sand, clay, silt, gravel, coral, ore or other slurry
  • Slurry density, solid content, particle size and abrasion condition
  • Pipeline arrangement: floating, submerged, shore, deck, pump inlet/outlet or bow blowing
